Wae Rebo is a traditional village located in the Flores mountains, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. This village is famous for its uniqueness in terms of traditional architecture and the lives of its people who still adhere to the traditions of their ancestors. Architectural Uniqueness Wae Rebo is famous for its traditional house called Mbaru Niang. These houses have a cone shape with a roof made of palm leaves or thatch, and a strong wooden structure. Each Mbaru Niang consists of five floors, each floor has a different function, from living to storage. Location and Access Located at an altitude of around 1,200 meters above sea level, Wae Rebo is surrounded by mountains and dense tropical forests.
